This manor house is situated in a rural environment on the edge of a small village almost hidden behind large trees. In the 19th century this house was the centre of the aristocratic society that formed around the von Levetzows.
After the fall of communism, the manor house was completely restored and transformed into a centre for celebrations and holidays. In front of the main entrance there is a rounding with lawn and sun loungers. At the back there is a small terrace with garden furniture to enjoy the view. Parking is available in front of the property for 5 cars and 5 more cars on the other property.

At the back of the property is a large area with old trees, including trees brought from America in the 19th century. On the right you can see the large brick covered terrace with barbecue and fireplace. Next to the house you will find a trampoline for children. The large nature property offers enough place for humans and dogs, in order to be completely for itself.
According to stories, Ulrike von Levetzow once lived here in the manor in her youth. She later achieved fame through her “love affair” with Germany’s greatest poet Goethe, who in Marienbad around 1823 as an old gentleman fell immortally in love with the very young girl. Only recently did Martin Walser attempt to write a novel about a similar drama.
In the entrance area on the left is the “Ulrike von Levetzow Room”, furnished with furniture in the “Gustavian style”.
On the first floor there is a reception room, a reading room with 2 rooms and a billiard room. On the left there is the large hall for parties and celebrations. There are 19 bedrooms on 3 floors. Each floor has a bathroom and WC.
On the second floor you will find the so-called “cigar room” for smokers. There is also a TV room.
In the basement you will find the 18m² private indoor swimming pool, a sauna and whirlpool, a table tennis table and the table football room, as well as the large kitchen.
The ideal location for weddings, festivities and corporate events.
From Gutshaus Groß Markow you can quickly make excursions to Teterow or to Güstrow with its castle. In nearby Techow there is a very good restaurant in the old barn (10 minutes). In Techow you will also find an 18 hole golf course as well as a training course for golf beginners.
It takes 45 minutes to get to the Baltic Sea beaches. To Rostock/Warnemünde approx. one hour. It takes two hours to get to Berlin and three hours to get to Hamburg.
